Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) and Freedom of Information Act requests (FOIA) can be a serious drain on resources to any organisation where video is involved.

Redacting any personally identifiable Information (PII) is far from simple in video clips, especially in very busy scenes.

RND looked at the market and determined that there must be a more convenient and more flexible method for organisations to deal with these requests. Hence, Redaktor software is free to download and install, and unlike some of the alternatives, the data never leaves your computer. There is no upload to a third-party server, and no problems with potential data sharing or integrity.

PAY-AS-YOU-GO

Unlike most of the other options for video redaction, Redaktor does not lock the user into any long-term subscription model, or fees for use that may or may not happen. The only charges are for the exported processed video. One simple fee for each job. If there are no requests to process, there are no charges, and no time ticking away on unused credits for work that wasn’t required.

EASY-TO-USE

Redaktor allows any common video format to be processed for removal of personally identifiable information.

After importing the video, the program will attempt to automatically mask all of the potential targets within the video clip. The user will then review the footage to determine what changes or corrections need to be made.

A set of simple to use tools are provided to mark the video, until the preview matches the desired results. Once the preview looks correct, the user can then export the finished redacted video clip in a choice of different formats
